Welcome to Elite Potatoes! We are regularly ranked in the top 300 alliances. We are an active group, with a focus on good communication, mutual support, player development, and winning wars.
To meet these objectives, we have a series of policies that players are expected to uphold:
1. Clean Language – We are a respectful, friendly and serious gaming group. Accordingly, we expect clean language. We are not here to talk politics, race, religion, sexuality, etc. We are here to play a game.
2. Teamwork – to be elite naturally requires like minded players striving to build each other up. Learn from others and be willing to help others grow.
3. Cheaters – we don’t tolerate cheaters and we will remove you from the clan.
4. Fluency in English – Communication is VERY important in our alliance. If you are not fluent in English, we cannot accomplish this. Be honest regarding your abilities. If you struggle with English, an alliance using your native language would be a better fit.
5. Discord – We have a discord channel. Please take the time to get connected.
6. Rushed Bases – We are ok with rushed bases if you can regularly 5 star a similar aged base. But if you can’t then you become a liability and that hurts the teams chances to win wars. For example, a rushed Cold War base should be able to clear a level 266 Cold War base on a regular basis. Clearing a level 184 Cold War base doesn’t count.
7. Requesting War Troops – request the best and the specific troops that help your attack style. There are only a couple players that can build Digital Age troops. Please understand that we will gladly build troops, but they take time to build.
8. Requesting Non-War Troops – We value team participation and therefore encourage general requests so that any level of player has opportunites to donate troops.
“Any” – expect any type of troop.
“Event” – donate if you have not finished the event yet.
“Blood or Blood is thicker” – this is a game goal and you want to donate any barracks troop that takes one housing. Example: infantry or rifleman.
“Heavy” – could be a horsemen or a tank. Request may not get filled as quickly.
9. Donating troops – Players are expected to support the team by donating troops. If the request asks for HT 10 for war and you can’t build digital Heavy Tank MK10, then don’t fill the request. If you decide to fill the requests anyways with other troops, then you can expect to be removed.
Also, Please do not donate to new players until they communicate.
War Philosophy:
1. War is not about the loot, War is about the helping the team win. If a sacrificial hit to scout a higher base is beneficial, that’s the expectation. If you need to hit a low base to improve war time, that’s the expectation. These asks will be communicated, so pay attention to chat.
2. Don’t be a major liability – You need to be able to pull your weight in war. For example, if you are a cold war player and can only 5 star an industrial base, don’t expect to participant in a lot of wars. It takes time to develop a solid attacking strategy and we are happy to help you learn the game.
3. Everyone has an important role to play. The big idea is that you use your best judgement on what a good target for you is. Base layout, defensive coalitions all matter. Choose a reasonable target. As a team we will access the war situation and if needed organize 2nd attacks to maximize chances to win the war.
4. Being in a top 300 alliances. We fight against some of the best clans out there. You should expect to fight against defensive coalitions, quality troops in the town hall and strong hold along with some massive museum boosts. Because of this, you need to adapt to a proven attack strategy. And we are happy to help you learn it!
5. If your in the bottom 2 positions, its expected you target the opposite bottom 2 positions.
6. Some wars our bottom will not be able to 5 star there opposites. It’s expected that everyone naturally shifts down when choosing a target.
7. If the base has been attacked, watch the replay and plan your attack accordingly. If your an atomic and 2 atomics have attacked a base and the best hit is 2 stars, don’t just hit that base without talking it over with the team.
Wars Rules:
1. Communication – Good communication is our greatest asset in wars. Don’t leave your teammates guessing. If in doubt, bring it up in chat.
2. Target Selection – When choosing a base to attack, the opponent should be neither too difficult nor too easy. Be realistic in assessing your abilities, and remember: the focus is five stars and fast times.
3. Using Both Attacks – Regardless of the state of any given war, players are expected to use both attacks. Failure to do so may result in the player being excluded from subsequent wars.
4. Prompt First Attacks – Ideally, players should attack in the first 12 hours of a war. This helps us plan the second half of the war and pick up stars efficiently where they were missed. Inevitably, from time to time, life will prevent this. When this is the case, please communicate the matter, as best you’re able, to the team.
5. Waiting for Second Attack – Back-to-back attacks steal opportunities from other players, lead to poor planning, compromise our ability to defeat an opponent strategically, and will not be tolerated. Players are strongly encouraged to wait to use their second attacks until the second half of the war.
6. Full Strength Attack – Always take a full army into battle for war attacks: regular troops, alliance troops, generals, mercenaries, tactics, and troop tactics. Things can go unexpectedly wrong in a battle, and hitting with everything you’ve got is insurance against it. Troop tactics can be deployed on an as-needed basis, but should always be included. Raiders should NEVER be used war.
7. War Bases – War bases are different from your home base. It is not important to protect resources. Instead the key is to protect your town center (TC) and make a quick victory (QV) as difficult as possible. When players make substantial changes to their war bases, they are encouraged to share them with the team for suggested edits.
8. Calling Bases – No targets are reserved by default. If you really want to hit a particular opponent, indicate so in the chat. If a called target isn’t hit in the first 12 hours, it’s fair game.
9. Coalitions – Players are expected to use war coalitions. Each player is free to determine which coalition best fits his/her needs and resources. A player’s top priority is to get five stars with a fast time in your war attack, and this should weigh heavily on a player’s choice of coalition(s).
10. Full Stars – We always strive for perfect scores in wars. This makes us a better alliance in tighter wars. As such, there are to be no loot attacks until the leadership gives the ok to target anyone. Similarly, players are not to withhold attacks in the interest of looting.
11. War Availability – We want active players who want to war. However, when real life demands make this impossible (as they should and will), players are expected to change their war statuses accordingly.
12. War Planning Day – Part 1. – Please do not add troops to war bases unless asked. We have a team strategy and desire the best troops to help defend our bases when attacked in war.
13. War Planning Day – Part 2. – Now is the time to gather trade goods (salt, pottery, cider, diamonds, etc.), so you’re ready to hit when the war starts.

Keys to success:
Industrial Age – Hannibal is a beast. It takes a lot of time and effort, but totally worth getting.
Global Age – Factory troops are king. You want to have Brandenburg Gate and consider converting to the German nation
Atomic Age – Its all about air. Invest in your air capabilites. Amelia Earhart takes a lot of oil, but again it is totally worth it.
Cold War Age – Its all about the Rocket Arsenal – Emperor Haile Selassie takes a lot of oil, but again it is totally worth it.
Space Age – Its all about the Space Shuttle, Zhukov and the museum. Library research Archaeology and get those blueprints. Before spending money on a legendary, talk it over with the team to know if it is worth it.
Digital Age – No big known game changers, just more of the same upgrading grind.
Right now, bombers are king, worth investing in. Heavy Tank attacks are reliable and work well, only down side is they are slow. Commando attacks are fast, but can fail spectacularly.
